Dutch infrastructure and logistics companies are invited to visit Kuwait to take a closer look at the ongoing and upcoming port development projects. Kuwaiti delegation members that visited the Netherlands on March 2011, were impressed by the advanced port infrastructure in the Netherlands. They expressed their interest in setting up partnerships with Dutch companies to assist Kuwait with the realisation of its ambitious ports project. Kuwait is on the look for the latest technology, innovation and trends in the design, construction, fit-out and management of port facilities. The Dutch are also highly interested in doing business with the Gulf region, mainly Kuwait thanks to the big investments injected in the Kuwaiti’s port development sector. During interviews to measure their interest, Dutch companies indicated that Kuwait forms a lucrative market to expand their business. However Dutch companies often face a number of obstacles such as lack of understanding of the market, procurement procedures and who the decision makers are. Therefore,  they expressed their need for assistance to gain local knowledge and being informed about the market development as well as to bring them in touch with their relevant counterparts.

After receiving your registration, an intake interview will be conducted to ensure a comprehensive understanding of your company, product offerings as well as your objectives and expectations for joining this mission. Mission program includes several high-level meetings with authorities, port developers and operators in Kuwait. These meetings are an effective tool to present your company and to meet face to face with relevant decision makers who on their turn will inform you about their current and upcoming infrastructure projects and needs to accomplish them. The program will also feature a networking reception at the Dutch Embassy in Kuwait which will be attended by representatives of the Kuwait infrastructure market.
