Profile: Ever-since its establishment in 1974, Public Authority for Housing Welfare has constructed 70,000 units or more, with an area of 400 square meters, each worth about $7 billion. As for the new ‘model’ cities, Al-Fouzan said the government has allocated huge budgets for the projects, with residential units ranging 400 square meters in size. He pointed out that houses in Sabah Al-Ahmad City would be about 600 square meters in area. Both together would account to 20,000 units, with a capacity to accommodate 175,000 citizens. Appointed by the Government of Kuwait to provide towns and settlements to accomodate Kuwaiti citizens and immigrants while providing all the required services (educational/religious/social).

Profile: Established in 1945, the Kuwait Ministry of Public Works (MPW) is the Government body concerned with planning, developing, commissioning and supervising infrastructure developments across the State of Kuwait. Recently the MPW has set up the Mega Projects Developments division to oversee the multi-billion developments of Failaka and Bubiyan island and Bubiyan Sea Port, Saadiya Causeway, Silk City and other current and planned mega projects in the country.

Profile: Established under Decree No. (146) of the year 2008, the Partnerships Technical Bureau (PTB) considers governmental projects and unsolicited proposals forwarded by the Higher Committee to identify potential developmental projects that can be implemented by establishing a partnership between both the relevant public entity and interested parties from the private sector in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 7 of 2008 to regulating all Public Private Partnerships (PPP) projects in the State of Kuwait.
