Public Authority for Housing Welfare

Profile: Ever-since its establishment in 1974, Public Authority for Housing Welfare has constructed 70,000 units or more, with an area of 400 square meters, each worth about $7 billion. As for the new ‘model’ cities, Al-Fouzan said the government has allocated huge budgets for the projects, with residential units ranging 400 square meters in size. He pointed out that houses in Sabah Al-Ahmad City would be about 600 square meters in area. Both together would account to 20,000 units, with a capacity to accommodate 175,000 citizens. Appointed by the Government of Kuwait to provide towns and settlements to accomodate Kuwaiti citizens and immigrants while providing all the required services (educational/religious/social).
