Private university on Makkah-Jeddah highway


The Municipality of the Holy Places is proposing to build a 2-million-square-meter educational project by establishing a private university on the Makkah-Jeddah highway.
The university will be built over a space of 2 million square meters with a cost of more than SR 20 million.
The university comes within the major investment projects of the municipality’s administration for developing muwnicipal investments.
The administration is putting the final touches on one of the educational investment research that will bring more educational services to the people of Makkah.
The municipality proposes to establish a private university through an auction system on design, construction, operating and transfer.
The investment period in the university is 25 years. Through the university, the municipality aims to support the education sector, increase the municipality’s returns, provide more educational opportunities for the local students and take in more of the increasing number of pupils.
The project is made up of specialized colleges, a research center, state-of-the art study labs that are constructed according to latest scientific standards, lecture halls, service facilities and other services that will provide students with a comfortable learning environment.
