High demand for international expertise in hospital build, medical systems and services

Saudi Arabia is the richest of the Arabian Gulf States with the largest healthcare market in the Gulf region. The Saudi government recently launched an ambitious five-year development plan, worth €14 billion, to develop 121 new hospitals and upgrade 66 hospitals. The Saudi Health Minister further announced the development of 33 new hospitals within two years. As a result Saudi Arabia is looking for the latest technologies and innovations in hospital design, fit-out and  medical systems and services in order to realise these projects.

These developments present Dutch companies working in the medical sector with great business opportunities. Saudi project owners are looking to the West for design advise, innovative construction methods and modern systems and services to realise the ambitious projects.

The Holland Gulf Chamber of Commerce is organising a high-level trade mission to Saudi from 3-5 June 2012 to introduce Dutch companies to Saudi medical project owners. The trade mission is intended for Dutch companies active in the healthcare sector: architects, engineers, consultants, suppliers of innovative fit-out and building materials and suppliers of medical systems and services. This event provides an unique opportunity to meet with high-level decision makers, learn about upcoming projects and understand the procedures for working in the medical sector in Saudi Arabia.
