Saudi Ministry of Health

Dutch Embassy in Riyadh
The Dutch Embassy is established in Ryadh to broad relations between the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia, political, economic, of trade or investment, in energy, education or other. The relations between the two countries date back quite some time. Already in 1871 a Dutch Consulate was opened in Jeddah, in what was then known as Western Arabia. It’s main purpose and role was to support the tens of thousands of muslim pilgrims from the Netherlands East-Indies who were performing their pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina. Saudi Ministry of Higher Education
In 1975 a segment of the Ministry of Education became a separate entity, and was renamed the Ministry of Higher Education. The Higher Education Council is the supreme authority for post-secondary education affairs with the specific task of supervising and coordinating its institutions, with the sole exception of military education. Some of the Council’s responsibilities are: directing university education in accordance with policy, supervising the development of university education in all sectors, coordinating among universities especially in the field of scientific departments and degrees, encouraging research, formulating rules and regulations for compliance by all institutions of higher learning.

King Abdulaziz University Medical College, academic hospital
The first university Hospital was King Abdulaziz University Hospital wich was originally founded in 1956 but only got affiliated to the college in 1976. The Saudi Binladen Group incorporated in 1967 and diversified into construction activities in U.A.E during 1971 as well as in K.S.A in 1981. King Fahad Hospital of Jeddah
King Fahd Hospital was founded in 1980 as one of 5 similar hospitals in different parts of the kingdom in the period of late King Fahd Bin Abdul-Aziz.
